​​​Luxury Automotive Reconditioning Specialist Mercedes-Benz of New London is in search of a new team member. We are now accepting applications from qualified automotive detail professionals who want to be a part of a fun team in a fast-paced environment. Our Detailing Specialists are greatly valued as part of a team committed to delivering exceptional sales and service experiences. Detailing assignments include but are not limited to preparing inventories of new and pre-owned vehicles for sales presentation, customer deliveries, and service customer details. This position is primarily responsible for cleaning and detailing the interior and exterior of vehicles, adhering to company standards of excellence and following all safety measures. Our Detailing Specialists may also perform a variety of other related tasks depending on team and client needs. These include: • Using top-of-the-line cleaning and detailing supplies and equipment such as specialized brushes, scrapers, vacuums, buffers, and solutions to perform cleaning and detailing of vehicles, including but not limited to cleaning all exterior and interior windows and mirrors, floor, seats, wheels – bumper to bumper! • Preserving, protecting, and restoring vehicle interior and exterior through the application of premium polishes, conditioners, and waxes. • Cleaning and dressing engine compartment, wheels, and tires to remove grease, grime, and dirt and elevate to gorgeousness. • Inspecting vehicles and report any unidentified body or interior damage. • Managing supplies inventory and reorders with the Parts Department before supplies run low. • Maintaining a clean and orderly work area, reporting any unsafe or hazardous conditions to management. • Monitoring and maintaining the cleaning equipment and machinery for proper operation and functioning. • Ensuring security for any items found in vehicles, placing them with sales or service for returning to owner. Requirements – Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: • Bilingual preferred. • Expert automotive detailing experience required. • Valid driver’s license is required. • Must be able to expertly operate and maneuver all types of automobiles from compact cars to commercial vans. • Must be able to understand job-related chemical formulas in order to mix cleaning solutions, paints, and other chemicals • Saturdays are required, 8 am – 2 pm. • Must possess excellent cleaning and detailing equipment operation skills. • Must be able to meet physical demand of the position, including standing for extended hours, walking, crouching, bending, and lifting is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. • Superior attention to detail: IMPERITIVE. • Excellent time management is ESSENTIAL. Must be highly effective in prioritizing tasks and completing all duties on time. • Must pass pre-employment background MVR check and drug screening. Pay, Schedule & Benefits • Sundays and Tuesdays off. 40-hour work week. • Highly competitive hourly rate. • Benefits available after 90 days include medical, dental, 401K and more. • Opportunity for advancement.
