We are both over 70 and it has become more difficult to do this work. Our home is modern and incorporates a rather unique two-story design with lots of windows and some providing a great view of the harbor. The house has two floors and an elevator. Although we have a three-bedroom home, only the "master" bedroom is included in the cleaning schedule. Most of the house has ceramic tile flooring. Some areas have decorative rugs lying over the tile. There are no wall-to-wall carpets. The master bedroom and den have laminated wood flooring.
We are looking for someone who will be thorough and careful -- particularly as they GENTLY dust pictures, decorative antiques and glassware displayed in our home. Such dusting would be required during each visit. Kitchen cabinet fronts, appliance exterior fronts, and counter backsplash need to be cleaned. Two bathrooms would also require cleaning, including toilets, during each visit. We will provide our own cleaning supplies and tools, including a good quality vacuum cleaner.
We have experience getting help from a former housekeeper and had a very pleasant relationship lasting over five years. This was a mutually rewarding relationship built on trust and it became a real friendship.... however, then nasty Covid came and there were no vaccines. We take Covid very seriously. We are both fully vaccinated and "boosted". A major requirement for anyone coming within our home is that they have been vaccinated fully to the level that is available to them.
