The Farm Hand / CDL A Driver Job Position largely works within the RSS Farming and Trucking divisions. However, this position is often used throughout the company in various needs. Job Description Revolution Soil and Seed Farms 2,000 acres of dryland wheat and triticale in Colorado. We also operates 2 full time trucks year round with runs consisting of agricultural commodities (cow food), hay, straw, grains, compost and some equipment. RSS also operates 2 compost sites in Fort Lupton that produce 75,000yds of organic compost per year. The Farm Hand / CDL A Driver position probably spends about 80% of their time running truck hauling various loads and 20% of their time running other equipment for the farm and compost operation including agricultural tractors and wheel loaders. Some jobs this position is expected to complete are as follows: Haul local commodities between dairies Deliver compost locally Haul compost to our Wyoming farm and bring back corn grain or hay bales Assist in hauling manure from third parties Provide basic maintenance on equipment including greasing and washing Operate Wheel loaders or turn compost rows for the compost division Disk, plant and spray weeds for the CO Farming Division Take shift Hauling and packing silage during harvests. Job Requirements All applicants must: Have a valid CDL A License Have reliable transportation to and from work Be Legally able to work in the United States Be able to work Mon – Fri form 7am – 5pm (weekend hours are available) The ideal candidate would posses the following: Experience running wheel loaders Experience working in either the compost, agricultural, aggregate, or landscape industries Experience operating semi trailers and tandem trucks Income Potential: Revolution Soil and Seed firmly believes that operations are one of the most important aspects of a success company. We work hard to make sure our operators earn a very competitive wage based on there performance and have room to grow within our company. We expect this role to make $55,000 - $70,000 per year BOE paid hourly. This is a full time, year round position.
