From the City of New Orleans: November 4, 2020 The "Mayor for a Day" program aims to foster and encourage leadership in young people living in New Orleans. New Orleans youth ages 11 to 18 are invited to write essays about what New Orleans would be like if they were Mayor for a day. Three winners will be selected and given the opportunity to be sworn in and shadow the Mayor for a day. Entry Dates, Deadlines, & Winner Notification Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, if submitting by email or via nola.gov. If submitting by regular mail or email, please download the Entry and Rules and Regulations Forms and follow the directions.
