Description

ISO ANY INFO REGARDING POSSIBLE DECEASED DOG. After reading the comments below I realize that I may need to dig a little deeper into the situation at hand. My poor boy was believed to be hit by a car at 5:30am this morning on Neuse Blvd in New Bern, NC, but my family was not able to identify him before he was disposed of in an unknown location. We were told the city had buried him, however, when I called to get the burial site information we were told that he was instead disposed of and that I wouldn’t be able to go to that location. The location was never disclosed to me. He had a red collar on, but he was apparently missing this collar when he was found. We have not been able to locate said collar to confirm why it was not on him. I’ve called and left a voicemail to get further information, but I am looking for anyone who may have seen my pup yesterday morning or the evening before. Even if you think you may have hit him, please come forward. I am not angry at anyone but myself because it was our responsibility to keep him safe, I just want to know if this was truly my baby. He is a desirable breed and is so sweet that I worry that someone may have picked him up and told me a tall tale to get us to stop looking for him. Any information, even bad news, would be greatly appreciated. I just want to put my heart at ease and to know what truly happened. Update: Our dog was believed to be hit by a car on Neuse Blvd this morning and passed away. He was found and buried by the City of New Bern. His collar was no longer on him and we were not able to identify him before he was buried, but it’s very likely that was him. The gentleman who found him said that he doesn’t doubt that was our boy. Thank you all for sharing the post. ISO LOST DOG!! Our exotic bully, Appa, has escaped from our house in Colony Estates in New Bern, NC. He has a brown back and white chest. He has some white on his paws. He’s not tall, about shin height, but he is bulky. He’s a year and a few days old. He’s very friendly towards humans, but could be startled by strangers and the new environment so act with caution. He will chase cats and other small animals such as birds. He was last seen yesterday night, March 30th. He ran off with our husky, but did not return with her when she came back this morning. He’s not super familiar with the area, but the neighborhood is fairly dog friendly and our dogs have been picked up by neighbors there before. The pound does not currently have him so we are thinking someone has him in their yard while they look for the owner. Please call or text if you find him or if the other line doesn’t pick up.
