Hackensack Meridian To Run Urgent Care Center At American Dream

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — American Dream and Hackensack Meridian Health have announced a 10-year partnership, which officially names Hackensack Meridian the mega mall's health care partner. This partnership includes an urgent care center operating out of the complex, according to a news release. The early stages of a partnership between the two area businesses started amid the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, when the two created and operated a drive-thru testing site, which catered to local police, first responders and health care workers. American Dream and Hackensack Meridian, according to the company, have been working together throughout the pandemic to develop a health and safety plan for reopening. The partnership will only strengthen the continued planning, the company said. "As we continue to navigate through this unprecedented time, our goal is to make American Dream a safe and comfortable environment for families to visit," said American Dream co-CEO Mark Ghermezian, in a statement. Together, they created the #dreamsafe initiative, which is the basis of American Dream's coronavirus procedures and protocols. A mobile app will launch soon to aid in further implementation, the company said. A COVID-19 health advisory, on-site urgent care center and education pop-up will highlight the new initiatives established by the official partnership. "We have successfully collaborated during this unprecedented pandemic and together we can ensure that guests enjoy their experience safely and have access to high-quality convenient care that is the signature of our health network," said Hackensack Meridian Health CEO Robert C.
