Join us in decorating and adorning Good Energy bowls, eating yummy, healthy snacks, chatting and laughing. In this Laugh, Learn, Love craft series, we will be making Good Energy Bowls. These bowls can be placed anywhere around your house, and used for several reasons, including protection, relaxation, or just burning an incense for great smells. During our time, we will paint small wooden bowls, create a salt and flower cleansing mix, use essential oils to adorn our mix and add crystals for the mood you are looking for. We will learn what different crystals mean and explore different salt mixes. All supplies and light snacks/drinks will be included. Come ready to have fun, relax and laugh. We can't wait to see you! The Laugh|Love|Learn series, created by Shanel Hughes Comedy, LLC is a series that centers around the healing, peace, freedom and safety of Black Women. While everyone is welcome, we ask that this space during these events be respected as such. Thank you. Meet your hosts! Shanel Hughes is a professional standup comedian, crafter, and event producer. She makes up one half of Shanel Hughes Comedy, LLC. She has done comedy all over Colorado and several other states as well. When it comes to crafting, it runs deep in her veins and she has instructed craft classes at the Museum of Contemporary Art here in Denver. While Shanel will not be doing any comedy at these events, she will be instructing the craft and her upcoming comedy shows can be found at www.shanelhughes.com Shanel loves to use colors and bling as a form of expression! She can't wait to see what you create! Uchenna (Uche) Ohaya is a published poet and musician. When she is not writing, she enjoys puzzling and video games with her son. She makes up half of Shanel Hughes Comedy, LLC and runs a poetry open mic here in Denver. While Uche will not be reciting or rapping, she will be sharing fun and important information related to the event, and her upcoming events can be found at www.uccchhh.com.
