By giving people smarter options, Feather is able to keep more furniture in homes and out of landfills. About the job: The Delivery Lead manages our trucks and daily deliveries to customers. They are responsible for the customer experience, efficiency, and overall success of our home delivery function and they play a key role in the development and ongoing execution of our operational excellence. The Delivery Lead collaborates closely with the warehouse, logistics, and account management teams and will report to the General Manager. What You'll Do: Collaborates with a team of fellow leads while providing a best-in-class experience to customers by working within brand guidelines, and contributing to the development of these guidelines Takes pride in being a brand ambassador with the unique responsibility of entering our customers' homes and interacting with them in person Works alongside and manages a contracted delivery associate during the day to assist in excelling in the difficult LAX metro landscape Safely drives a Feather vehicle (16’ non-CLD) to complete a pre-assigned route of 3-7 deliveries and/or pickups in a given day, including delivery via walk-up or service elevator, onsite assembly, and trash removal Loads the delivery vehicle each day with furniture for delivery to customers, taking responsibility for the condition of each piece Collaborates with the Warehouse Manager on a daily basis to develop policies and best practices within the market Operates within our existing software stack to manage deliveries, damage reporting, customer communications, and more Requirements Required Skills and Experience: 2+ years in delivery operations Experience working with furniture Ability to succeed without direct supervision A keen and sensitive eye for customer service and experience Deep knowledge of the complex logistical challenges associated with the market Ability to lift & move heavy furniture with help from dollies and hand-trucks Physical Requirements: Use of hands to handle and control objects, tools, or controls.
