Please join the Norwich Historical Society and Calkins Family Association for a behind the scenes look at the Calkins House! Please join the Norwich Historical Society and the Calkins Family Association for an exclusive behind the scenes look at the restoration work of the circa 1659 Calkins House which was saved from demolition in 2020. Melissa Calkins, President of the CFA, will explain the history of the house, provide an update regarding the restoration of the house, and share plans for the future. This tour is sponsored by the Norwich Historical Society and is part of our Second Saturday Tour line-up. Please note this tour is limited to 30 people and you must register in advance. Suggested donation of $10. All proceeds benefit the CFA and NHS. Parking will be at 228 West Town Street. Less than 1 Mile. Easy. No restrooms. No dogs. No wheelchair access.
