Seeking freelance individuals with knowledge of audio-visual equipment set up for business and professional events. Must have own reliable transportation, an SUV is a big plus. Knowledge of the Houston area and traffic patterns is extremely helpful. Ability to transport gear to event site, set up and test to assure everything is working for client. Then return to remove equipment and return it to the warehouse. These are short term gigs, typically setup and removal are same day. Basic computer skills, like knowing the different video-out ports and how to adjust display settings. Familiarity with tripod screens, projectors, PA speakers, microphones, small mixers, HDTV's for events.
Gigs are at business locations, event facilities, upscale restaurants, and for other organizations. Business casual attire (no sneakers, no caps, no t-shirts, no shorts, no open toe shoes) is necessary. Many evening events, but we also have morning and daytime, with occasional weekend events. The ability to communicate professionally with clients is required. Since these are short gigs, arriving on time and working both quickly and neatly is needed. Event locations depend on the client, we serve all the Houston area.
We are an audio visual rental service that has been in business for 20-years with strong client relationships. We can teach how to use equipment and best practices for successful events. We can't teach integrity, how to use GPS, how to communicate, or how to be on time. We're good people looking for other good people to keep our customers happy.
No roadies please. Must be able to pass a background check and provide proof of auto insurance. We pay by the event via company check or Zelle. Average pay is $20/hour. Send us an email with your experience, knowledge, and tell us why you are the best candidate for our team.
