I'm available to rehearse up to 2 or 3 times per week.We are a working, well-known adult band formed by experienced musicians playing Rock-Alternative & Pop covers in different South Florida venues and we are looking urgently for an experienced singer to join the band since our singer moved out of state in an unexpected way leaving us stranded. We play songs from the '80s, '90s, and today's hits from bands like Alanis Morrisette, Joan Jet, No Doubt, Blondie, Billie Eilish, Tears for Fears, Within Temptation, 311, Portugal The Man, Alice Merton, Blondie, Nessa Barrett, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Elle King, A-Ha, Dua Lipa, Pat Benatar, The Weekend, Miley Cyrus, among others. Earth Code, an established World Music/Fusion Jazz Band performing original compositions, is looking to collaborate with a professional South Florida-based percussionist for recordings and gigs. Our music is in the spirit of Weather Report, Zawinul Syndicate, Tribal Tech, Chick Corea, The Headhunters, Pat Metheny Group, and many others. We fuse elements of jazz, funk, rock, world, classical and cinematic in our music. If you're familiar with and rooted in these styles of music, we'd like to connect. If the names Naná Vasconelos, Alyrio Lima, Manolo Badrena, Airto, Dom Um Romão, Arto Tunçboyacıyan, Trilok Gurtu, and Zakir Hussain mean something to you, let's talk. Also elements of the music of Baaba Maal, Salif Keita, Pedro Aznar, and others...in other words, wordless vocals can also be a plus. I have previous cavy experience years ago. I play bass, guitar, keys, drums and harmonica, and have other pros in the wings if needed... what do you say? I played in 4-5 bands over 17 years in the Chico area doing other peoples music... great fun, but so what? I am driven to sing my ideas, insight and opinions about the state of the world and I want to be heard! He is a medium sized dog and has a “I’m the cute one” dog collar. Doing Classic Rock, Blues, Country, Jazz, or whatever. Vocals are always a plus, but not imperative. If you have some media of your live playing online it would be helpful. We are a bunch of players, from different local bands, just trying to keep the chops up until this thing blows over. So, not really looking to form a new band; no pressure, no commitments. You should be competent on your instrument tho, and have some knowledge of the genres. If you're interested, or have questions, just respond to the post.Classic Rock, Blues, Country, Jazz, or whatever. Vocals are always a plus, but not imperative.
