Attendees will (1) understand the potential of their work, (2) engage in intensive coaching sessions, and (3) share promising practices. WE CAN TX will host its first collective in-person convening on May 9 and 10, 2022 in Austin. The convening serves as a point of inflection where network members can (1) gain a stronger understanding of the potential of their work, (2) engage in intensive coaching and design sessions to strengthen their regional strategies, and (3) share promising practices that advance the goals of the network.  The convening will be highly interactive with sessions led in-person by WE CAN TX technical assistance providers. Given the structure and design of the convening, a hybrid option is not available. WE CAN TX encourages regions to bring participants who have engaged with network peer-learning events throughout the year. Regions are encouraged to bring team members who are interested in advancing all areas of work-based learning and apprenticeships, including youth apprenticeships. CONVENING DETAILS TRAVEL PLANNING: The convening will begin at 10:00 am on Monday morning, May 9 so that attendees may travel to Austin that morning. The convening will adjourn by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 10 so that attendees may return home that evening. MEALS: WE CAN TX will provide mid-morning snack, lunch and dinner on Monday, May 9 and breakfast and lunch on Tuesday, May 10. HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: WE CAN TX has secured a block of rooms at the Stephen F. Austin Royal Sonesta at the special rate of $199/night. Please indicate the nights that you will need lodging via the registration link below. We will provide the rooming list to the hotel to ensure that attendees get the special rate. *Please note that attendees will be responsible for transportation to the convening and hotel accommodations.
