HACKENSACK, NJ — According to Niche, Bergen County Academies is not only the best public school in New Jersey, but the best in America.
In their 2021 rankings, the Pittsburgh-based company declared the Hackensack school greater than any other in the country, a move up from the 2020 ranking of fifth. In the 2019 rankings, the school was ranked 12th.
Principal Russell Davis responded to the news on Twitter.

According to the company, data was collected from nearly 95,000 public schools, over 24,000 private schools and 11,822 school districts nationwide.
The rankings don't rely solely on test scores, providing a more "personal view" of a single school.
Now in its seventh iteration, the 2021 school rankings include 231 newly ranked private schools, 3,971 newly ranked public schools and 588 newly ranked school districts.
