Description

MAHWAH, NJ — In May, Ramapo College seniors usually expect to close their academic career with the annual arching ceremony. However, due to the coronavirus, their class of 2020 tributes were done virtually, with a rescheduled celebration promised. Well, the college has followed through on that promise, and the class of 2020 is set to celebrate this weekend. Scheduled for Friday through Sunday, the events will include the aforementioned arching ceremony and diploma reception. Though these events are scheduled for in-person and outdoor only, a virtual aspect will also be included. (Coronavirus is still here, after all.) According to the college, Governor Phil Murphy will deliver a congratulatory message. Also scheduled are an address from Ramapo College Board of Trustees Chair William F. Dator, and messages from undergraduate student speaker April Lynn Callas and graduate student speaker Moira McKibbin Meehan. The entire event will be livestreamed, and a link will be available the day of the event.
