DUNEDIN, FL — The Sons of the American Revolution Clearwater Chapter held an in-person general membership meeting on Feb. 16 at the Dunedin Golf Club at noon.
The chapter normally holds its meetings every third Wednesday of each month, except for a summer break between June to August. A Zoom option was also provided to members who were unable to attend. Thirty-three members and guests attended the meeting.
The speaker was Compatriot Robbie Robinson, a member of both the Clearwater and Tampa chapters. He spoke about the Mayflower, the establishment of the Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts, and the ships that came after the Mayflower, including the Speedwell and Fortune.
Chuck Robbins won the 50/50, Russell Pebworth won the gift basket and Warren Wilson won the fish fry dinner certificate.
The Sons of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to enhancing education, promoting patriotism and preserving American history. Members of the Sons of the American Revolution can trace their lineage to a patriot who supported the cause of American Independence.
