MAHWAH, NJ — New Jersey voters showed up in a big way for marijuana legalization during the General Election. The Associated Press made the call on Tuesday, announcing the state passed Ballot Question 1, voting to legalize adult-use cannabis by a huge margin. But what about in Mahwah? According to unofficial election results from Bergen County, more residents voted for the measure than against. Here are the latest numbers: Yes — 5,622No — 3,062 According to the county, a total of 13,768 ballots were cast in Mahwah, with Election Day precincts yet to be reported. Bergen County reports a total of 431,951 ballots cast, but, according to the unofficial results, only absentee and early precincts have been reported so far, with 73 of 73 in. The county has yet to make an estimate on overall voter turnout. County Clerk John S. Hogan didn't provide much of an update on Twitter Wednesday morning, stating that results would continue to be posted online. The Clerk's Office did not return a request for comment Wednesday.
