SCOTTS VALLEY, CA — Full overnight closures of Highway 17 near Mt. Hermon Road in Scotts Valley begin Tuesday night. Highway 17 will have full overnight closures in both directions for paving from Granite Creek Road to Mt. Hermon Road for two nights starting Tuesday, Dec. 17. The full closure hours will be from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to Caltrans. A detour will route motorists onto Scotts Valley Drive while paving operations are in effect. Full overnight closures for paving should be complete by 5 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, weather permitting. Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
