The kickoff for the market's 2022 season began on Thursday and was attended by Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, Fillmore District Council Member Mitch Nowakowski, and others. Vendors encourage community members to come by to see the great changes they've made to the market, including a city-funded $1.2 million restructuring of the exterior. The Easter Bunny will be at the market from Apr. 2-16. (WGRZ.com)New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced this week that $418 million dollars of disputed Seneca Nation casino revenue will fund the construction of the new Buffalo Bills Stadium. According to Hochul, this decision comes from her goal of settling the dispute upon taking up office. She hopes to keep the Buffalo Bills in New York and create 10,000 construction jobs. However, Seneca Nation released a statement condemning Governor Hochul's handling of the situation. You can read both statements at the link.
