MAHWAH, NJ — Northbound lanes of I-287 were closed during the early hours of Wednesday morning after a car chase beginning in Passaic County ended in Mahwah, according to multiple reports. ABC7NY reports the chase began in Ringwood after a police officer was struck by a car on Skyline Drive early Wednesday, after finding a woman asleep in her car around 5:30 a.m. According to the report, the officer wasn't seriously injured. The chase came to an end in Mahwah, with closures of I-287 northbound lanes until around 9 a.m. this morning, according to the Mahwah Police Department.
