Here are the top stories in Denver today: The state's youth is in a mental crisis. Children's Hospital declared a state of emergency a year ago in Colorado, and local emergency rooms continue to see visits by young people suffering from mental illness. (5280)Denver home prices continue to grow at a fast pace. According to the CoreLogic Case-Shiller Home Price Index, home prices in the Denver metro area have gone up a whopping 21 percent in the past year. (CPR) Denver's mental health program expanding to 24/7. The City of Denver's co-responder program over the past six years has responded to more than 10,000 calls. The program includes licensed mental health clinicians that respond with the Denver Police when calls involve mental illness or substance use. (CBS4) Hotel received conditional approval for marijuana lounge. There's a first for everything, and a Denver hotel has received conditional approval for Denver's first marijuana lounge. The Patterson Inn's application was approved last Friday, and they'll receive the license once they successfully complete the required inspections. (9News)Boulder's NCAR Fire is 90 percent contained. There will still be small amounts of smoke coming from the burn scar over the next week, but Boulder Fire and Rescue says that they have contained most of the wildfire that forced almost 20,000 to evacuate last week.
