Charges Filed Against Woman Accused Of Throwing Menstrual Blood

SACRAMENTO, CA — A woman from Boulder Creek in Santa Cruz County has been charged with two felony counts related to assaulting a public official and vandalism, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Each charge carries a possible yearlong jail sentence. The charges were filed by the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office. The charges stem from a Sept. 13 incident at the state Capitol in which Rebecca Dalelio, 43, allegedly lobbed a menstrual cup onto the Senate floor. Six senators were hit by the blood or cup and platters hit their desks and carpeting, the Chronicle reported. "That's for the dead babies," she shouted from the gallery. Read more at the SF Chronicle.
