FELTON, CA — Cal Fire plans to conduct a 22-acre prescribed burn Thursday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the San Vicente Redwoods property in the upper Bonny Doon area of Santa Cruz County. Smoke could be visible for a day or two after the burn. The burn is a vegetation management initiative to eliminate the accumulation of fire fuels, and is being done in cooperation with Peninsula Open Space Trust, Sempervirens Fund and Save the Redwoods League.
