Deadly Bike Ride: 15-Year-Old Pittsburgh Youth Fatally Shot

PITTSBURGH, PA — A 15-year-old teenager was shot and killed Wednesday while riding his bike in Homewood. Just after 6 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 responded to the 800 block of North Homewood Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert of four rounds fired. Officers found the boy with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the hospital and died shortly afterward. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the victim as Dayvon Vickers.
