Description
PITTSBURGH, PA — A 15-year-old teenager was shot and killed Wednesday while riding his bike in Homewood.
Just after 6 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 responded to the 800 block of North Homewood Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert of four rounds fired. Officers found the boy with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to the hospital and died shortly afterward.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the victim as Dayvon Vickers.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.Police are asking anyone with information to call headquarters at (412) 323-7800.
