Description
PORTLAND, OR — Mall 205 is no more. Sort of.
A new firm bought the Southeast Portland fixture last month for $43 million. One of their first actions was to evict the small businesses located inside the mall.
On Thursday, the last two closed their doors, heading out for other pastures. Both All-American Magic and Demba are headed to the Lloyd Center Mall. They were originally given two weeks to get out but saw that extended to today.
Not everything is closing.
Several large stores – all with entrances on the outside – are staying.
Famous Footwear, Target, Home Depot, and 24-Hour Fitness are all staying as is the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Soon to join them, taking up a large section of the 130,000 square-foot mall, will be Hobby Lobby.
