Description
PORTLAND, OR — Two teens are shot in Southeast Portland and police want to know why. It happened around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday by the intersection of Southeast 98th Avenue and Hult Street.
Calls to 911 said that shots had been fired,
Police arrived to find an 18-year-old man with a minor gunshot wound; it appeared that he'd been grazed by a bullet instead of being targeted.
A second man, possibly a young teen, had been shot several times.
The police bureau's Focused Intervention Team is leading the investigation.
In just over a week, nearly two dozen people have been shot in Portland as the city is on pace to surpass the record number of shootings in the city set last year.
