NJ Shelter Looking For Homes For 50 Orphaned Cats

MADISON, NJ - St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center is caring for nearly 50 cats removed from a home by Trenton Humane Law Enforcement and Animal Services May 6, after their owner passed away. A family member released custody of the cats to Trenton Humane Law Enforcement. "This rescue was a swift, collaborative effort between Trenton Humane Law Enforcement and St. Hubert's," said Chris Schindler, VP of Field Services at Humane Rescue Alliance/St. Hubert's. "We thank everyone at Trenton Humane Law Enforcement, and look forward to finding these cats new loving homes." St. Hubert's Animal Control Officers and other staff were on scene to triage and assist as the cats were removed from the home on Lamberton Street in Trenton. The animals were transported to St. Hubert's Noah's Ark facility in Ledgewood where they are being cared for and medically evaluated.
