Moving Forward and Strengthening our Community
Join the Orange County Department of Health for the 2nd Annual Health Summit, “Moving Forward and Strengthening our Community”, as part of the 2022-2024 Community Health Assessment (CHA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) process. Presentations will be given on the State of Health in Orange County, the 2019-2024 New York State Prevention Agenda, and Wastewater Surveillance Systems for COVID as well as other diseases and agents. Topics of discussion and data will be provided for the following priority areas: the prevention of chronic diseases, promoting a safe and healthy environment, preventing communicable diseases, promoting the health of women, infants and children and promoting well-being and preventing mental health and substance-use disorders.
Attendees will be asked to vote on the new priority areas as well as participate in breakout sessions to discuss available resources (i.e. staff time/programming), identify forces that are impacting our health system, and commit to working collaboratively through the CHIP to address the two priority areas chosen.
Seating is limited. In order to accommodate as many partners as possible, please limit the number of individuals attending from your organization to 1-2 organizational leaders or the most pertinent staff members.
