‼EXTREMELY URGENT‼ VERY SCARED AND SET TO BE EUTHANIZED IN SHELTER! FOSTER NEEDED ASAP‼ Read entire post, call ). Hi, I'm Mercury🐾 (Compatibility with dogs unknown) I am set to be euthanized 4/5, 8:00am! Why am I E-listed? I'm super scared in here!! Is this a reason to take my life away? NO!. I need a experienced, patient foster that understands my breed and fearful dogs like me. Can you save my life? I am a 2-year-old, un-neutered, Chow Chow/Golden Retriever mix (51.6 lbs.). I came in as a stray. Sadly, a net and a snare had to be used to capture me since I was so afraid. After that experience, it has been hard for me to trust and make progress. I stay in the back of my kennel. I am timid, shy and scared. I allow leashing (but I'm uncomfortable with it) yet I do walk once its on. Staff has been able to take me on a short walk; however, the activity outside the shelter made me anxious and scared too. Once back to the shelter, I allowed staff to gently pet my back, head, neck, and chin for a couple of minutes and then was easily returned to my kennel. Not too bad for a fearful dog! Although I have made progress, this noisy, chaotic place is not good for me. I need a home with a foster that understands what I need, will go slow with me, and will give me the time to build trust and progress at my own pace. No dog-to-dog eval was done, so I don’t know how I would be with other dogs. I am being treated for a “doggie cold” and am on the mend. I'm just afraid and need the right environment to grow.
