across the Phoenix, AZ have seen spikes in Cat Trapping and dog adoptions and fosters. But some pricey and popular cats /dogs are being ripped away from their intended forever homes and sold to unsuspecting buyers. they are pretending to be a Rescue.  trapping cats is  a big moneymaking deal. Rehome, adopt, sell, what ever term you want to use  Cats are considered "free roaming" animals by law, which makes responsible pet ownership even more important. Rescues are trapping animals to be  rehomed for $$adopted out $$ Sold for money big money why do you think so many Phoenix animals are missing  never to be found  some rescue groups and individuals that are, in fact, trapping neighborhood pets and re-selling them at PetSmart/PetCo., Craigslist rehoming acting like there pet  The point is...there are obviously a pets with collar and Don't  need to be "rescued"...they needed to be left alone and they would come home. And I realize it is not PetSmart/PetCo selling the cats...it is just their adoption area that the local trappers use.
