LITTLE ROCK, AR — Skippy Foods is voluntarily recalling thousands of cases of peanut butter because jars may contain stainless steel fragments from a piece of manufacturing equipment, the Little Rock-based company announced Wednesday.
The recall affects 9,353 cases, or 161,692 total pounds, of Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter Spread, Skippy Reduced Fat Chunky Peanut Butter Spread, and Skippy Creamy Peanut Butter Blended With Plant Protein.
In the recall notice, the company said there was a possibility that a limited number of jars may contain the metal fragments.
The voluntary recall affects the following products. Best by dates can be found on top of the lid:
