Job description SUMMARY: Perform floral quality inspections. Ensure product meets company quality specifications. We are looking for a QC Inspector to assist with floral inspection for our Mother's Day season. This position is temporary with a start date of April 11, 2022. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 4:00AM to 12:30PM, Overtimes and Weekend required during major floral holiday. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that all products meet our defined quality standards for freshness. Assists bouquet companies to assure the good quality control for their products. Inspects a sampling from all arriving shipments for quality, color assortments, dates, UPC #, grades, length, cut stage, flower opening, packing and units per box. Inspects and evaluates third party product to ensure it meets acceptable quality standards Inspectsrejected product to determine eligibility for credit. Inspects flowers from critical inventory (aged product) to determine if they can be sold on the open market or locally. QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. · Ability to work in a refrigerated environment. · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. · Ability to follow directions. · Ability to communicate effectively. · Ability to work effectively and relate well with others. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to converse in English and Spanish. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
