From the Morris County Government: January 23rd, 2020 Annual Benjamin Blackburn Lecture Held Feb. 1 Join Rob Cardillo, a professional garden photographer, as he shares his skills and knowledge of the art of garden photography on Saturday, February 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. This special, annual program benefits the Blackburn Scholarship in honor of Dr. Benjamin Blackburn. Spend the afternoon learning the craft of sweeping landscapes and compelling plant close ups through engaging instructive stories. Rob provides you with new tools and ideas to help you find and translate your own vision of Eden. Now in its 41st year, the Benjamin Blackburn Scholarship is awarded by The Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum to celebrate Dr. Benjamin Blackburn's contributions to the Morris County Park Commission. Proceeds from this lecture benefit the scholarship. Dr. Blackburn taught botany at Drew University, authored numerous books and papers on horticulture, and hosted a popular radio program for many years. His work at the Morris County Park Commission was an important contribution to the continuing legacy of beauty at these properties. The cost of this program is $50 per person.
