23 W Chestnut Street near N Market Street, Lancaster PA
Description
Syllables listened; supposedly learned...?
"Vietnam!"
The man in green exclaimed: his place sent to serve.
Freedom isn't free if its flow is stopped -
better let him continue on then, I thought.
Righteous words gripped like roots,
reassuring me of his grounded truths.
Quietly I sat, for what did I know?
Of the great many things men before had shown.
Patron tabs paid, who, just one moment before
purchased this silvered-haired man some more.
On and on, unhindered thoughts shared,
as if no one before had time nor care.
Empty seats sat persons not present,
Smiling, he thanked me, before finding the door.
