Description
Homebody!! ππ Mira knows her permanent family is out there!! She is patiently waiting in her temporary placement and is feeling safe, calm, and supported! They will be moving due to an employment change in the future and will not be able to bring Mira.
Mira is a very active yet gentle, loving, 55lb female, 2 1/2 year old, yellow (white) labrador. Spayed, up to date on shots, micro-chipped. Big on hug time, follows owner, naps next to owner on the couch or floor. Good with all ages and types of people. Loves children. Very tolerant and reads people behavior well. Significant separation anxiety if left alone without people. Sleeps on floor at foot of bed on a pillow. No crate or kennel for her.
Mellow, low maintenance dog if she has daily yard and in-home play for exercise. Not really good for leash walks. Best as a homebody! Extremely high prey drive: Squirrel and rabbit crazy, 0 to 60, giving treats for avoidance has no effect. Escapes all dog parks to tree squirrels and chase rabbits.
*What she needs*
Roomy, casual, open floor plan house. No apartments. Very securely constructed 6 foot wood-fenced yard, not chain link. She hasn't gone wandering lately, but has history of escape when left alone outside, evades stranger capture. No street sense. GPS collar is best, just in case.
Good with strange and loud noises including thunder and airplanes.
Will engage in negative, attention-seeking behavior if ignored, (don't react, she's so smart!) easily redirected to appropriate object. Loves her toys!
Please, please network with anyone you can think of and help Mira find her forever family! πΎπ
Feel free to share or private message! She has transport to anywhere that is her best furever home!!
