Dream Pop / Shoegaze band - looking for a bass player

Description

Hello! We are looking for someone to replace our current bass player. We wish we could keep him forever but he has decided to move on to some better things in the near future (moving out of the area). We wish him the best with his future endeavors. There is no animosity between anyone - just a simple change. We have a pretty cool band (IMO) currently and wanted to get someone else holding down the low end. The songs are fun but crafty so it's not just playing the same root notes that everyone has played for decades. I would say the music is fairly simple but there is enough involved to keep your attention. So there might be a little homework but it won't feel like a constant study. Originals only. Pop song structure formats. Most songs are in 4/4 and some are in 6/8 or 3/4. Some of the songs go in and out of 4/4 and 6/8. If you play guitar but do not have a bass or a bass amp, don't worry because we have you covered. Don't worry, it's not like some bowed neck BC Rich bass. We have a couple fun Fender basses, a lawsuit Les Paul bass. Fun stuff. We have a practice space in Reading. We have usually been practicing on Tuesdays between 6pm - 8pm. We have ambitions to play more shows and have played a few already. LGBTQ+ and POC to the top of the list. No requirements on age or gender but would prefer a quick learner / study. Please be vaccinated for cities that require proof of vax to attend / play. Thanks! FFO: Cocteau Twins, The Smiths, Lush, My Bloody Valentine, The Cure, Rush, Interpol, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins.
