According to conservatives, oil companies raising gas prices is a huge problem and the government needs to do something about it. However, farmers raising food prices (which makes up a much bigger portion of people's expenses) is not a problem and the government needs to stay out of it because doing something about it would be interfering. Is that the basic idea from the lunatic fringe?
