Pay rate: $15/hour plus $0.50/hour end-of­-season bonus upon completion of the season for every hour you worked during the season. Also weekly vegetables from the farm. Come work at one of the best farms in Boulder County! We are a diversified vegetable farm growing over 100 different crops on 35 acres. We grow vegetables for our CSA members as well as local restaurants and our Lafayette farm store. Our farm crew is usually about 15 people each year. We are looking for someone to work at our CSA pickups. This position starts on Monday, May 16th and you must be available to work through October 20th. Hours are: Monday - 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday - 9 am to 7 pm Wednesday - 9 am to 7 pm Thursday - 9 am to 7 pm Our CSA crew is the face of Red Wagon for our CSA members. CSA members' experience at CSA pickups is in large part their experience with our farm. We are looking for someone who is friendly, organized, and has the ability to work under pressure. You will work at our Lafayette farm location in the wash area from 9 am to 2 pm helping to wash and pack vegetables for distribution to our CSA members. You will then drive to one of our CSA pickup locations in Boulder to work at the pickup until 7 pm. (We do not have a CSA pickup on Monday and you will spend all day working in the wash area in Lafayette.) Our CSA pickups are in various parts of Boulder on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:30 to 7:00 pm May 24 through October 20. You must be responsible, detail oriented, hard-working, punctual, and able to interact with CSA members in a friendly manner. You must also be able to lift at least 50 lbs. multiple times every day. Knowledge of produce is required. You will work under the direction of the CSA manager preparing, bagging, weighing, and displaying the produce for pickups. Our CSA pickups are under an outdoor tent, so you must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, snow). You must have your own reliable transportation.
