Fabrication Shop Helper / Brake Metal / Welding / Crating Crone Metals, LLC. has an immediate opening for a shop helper. JOB SUMMARY Assists shop with whatever tasks need to be completed. Willingness to learn multiple skills. Will assist with grinding and polishing, building crates, shipping and receiving, cutting orders and other shop tasks. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Assists with shearing / cutting orders. Holds, positions and reads tape or rods to assist in layout Places and moves blocking, braces and jigs to hold parts Hammers wedges and drift pins and turns turnbuckles Pulls pry bars to align parts Grinds or chips rough edges, surplus weld, or scale Positions and turns clamps, and bolts together butt straps or parts Transports and furnished welder with materials, tools and supplies Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment Performs other routine duties Assists with crating and packaging and any other shop related tasks MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to stand regularly; use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to walk frequently; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
