A well-established construction company looking for qualified roofers. Starting immediately. Must have own tools, transportation, and some experience in the roofing trade. Looking for all positions, leads, second man, and laborers. Experience with comp, tile, asphalt, sheeting flashing, and tear off. Install roofing materials. Install partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces, using chalk lines, gauges on shingling hatchets or lines on shingles Install roofing materials. Cut felt, shingles, or strips of flashing to fit angles formed by walls, vents, or intersecting roof surfaces. Apply plastic coatings, membranes, install roofing materials fiberglass or felt over sloped roofs before applying shingles. Install roofing materials Cover exposed nailheads with roofing cement or caulking to prevent water leakage or rust. Apply sealants or other protective coatings. General clean-up. Benefits Benefits including ESOP, 401K, Medical, Dental, and Vision Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour ----SIGN-ON BONUS---- Looking for someone who has 2+ years of roofing experience. Must have a clean driving record to accept this position. Must understand all or most aspects of roofing. Job duties may or may not entail: Unload materials from the truck and unroll roofing material. Ensure there is enough material for the entire roof. Lift roofing materials onto the roof using pulleys or ladders. Clear debris from the roof. Ensure tar is chopped and heated. Scrape or pull off old roofing material. Nail roofing paper and composition shingles on the roof. Cover roof with roofing felt, asphalt strips, or other materials. Apply tile, slate, or composition materials to the roof. Locate and repair cracked tiles. Fill in missing tiles. Clear out gutters and drains. Affix metal sheets to roof boards or frameworks. Locate and fix leaks. Repair damage caused by storms and high winds. Nail tiles to roof boards and cover with roofing cement. You must also follow the company safety policies, able to work in the heat with rest breaks, and will be required to use fall protection (which will be provided to you after employment) when on any roof above 6 feet tall.
