Looking for someone experienced with pool filters to prep for spring. Instructions below: When you fill the pool, keep the valves closed. Leave the top knob on the strainer basket open to allow air to escape/water to fill and prime the pump. Once the pool is full, open the plunger valves and then tighten that knob as soon as the air escapes and water comes out. Then, put the intex valve on backwash, unscrew that back cap where the water will shoot out, and turn the pump on. You may have to add time on the pump and then hit the lock button before it will start. Backwash for about a minute and then turn the pump off, go to rinse, and turn the pump on for about 10 seconds then off again. Put the valve on filter and then it should be good to go.
