RAIL SUPPORT Position Summary
The Rail Support position operates at our rail yard facility located in downtown Anchorage. Their role is to count inventory, stock products, rotate products, and wash and detail train cars. They will also coordinate and communicate with the Rail Support Supervisor and Shop Foreman to maintain company equipment, execute proper working procedures, and efficiently complete daily and weekly checklists.
This position is an overnight shift starting at 10pm nightly. We have flexibility if you are looking for a part time or full time primary or secondary job, and this is a seasonal position. (Ending late September)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Stocking and rotating stock on railcars from specific areas of our Anchorage facility.
Washing dishes and breaking down boxes.
Removing garbage, glass and linens from railcars.
Washing and detailing railcars and other company vehicles.
Operating and working a man lift.
Complete all daily and weekly sidework.
Complete all required paperwork.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years of age prior to beginning of season.
Be a U.S. Citizen or show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Must be able to work a full season (Rail Support has slightly longer season than onboard crew – approx. the end of April through the end of September). Full and Part time positions available.
Must be able to work overnight shifts. (Starting at 10pm)
Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Complete courses to obtain Anchorage Food Worker Card (assistance provided by Wilderness Express).
