CHILD PROTECTIVE MISCONDUCT

I am writing this regaurding the allegations of misconduct from St. Lawrence County Department Of Social Services, more specifically the Child Protective Services Department. Myself and my children are victims of their misconduct. I have remained silent thus far not out of fear but out of concern of retaliation. With saying that I will remain anonymous at this time and keep details to a minimum just for the time being. What I do want for the world to think about is this. Whether warranted or unwarranted the minimum time from removal to reunification is typically six months to a year. Oftentimes it is multiple years before a child returns home. My children have been out of my care for six weeks. Doesn't really seem like a long period of time after what I just stated above right? Well let me break that down a little bit. Six weeks, 42 good mornings missed, 42 bedtime stories missed, 1008 hours. One hundred and twenty six meals I did not cook for my children. My infant child has a bottle every four hours. That means two hundred and fifty two feedings my child has been held in the arms of strangers. Feedings are a time of bonding. I am left with thoughts of are they sad? Scared? Confused? Hungry? Crying? Hurt? Let me be extremely clear when I say this, many children deserve to be taken and placed into homes that will love them, teach them and protect them. There are those other children though including mine that were ripped from parents who loved, nurtured, fed, protected and cared for them. If you are reading this thinking to yourself, this is made up, the truth stretched or that something isn't adding up? Don't worry you are right a lot is not adding up but unfortunately this is not made up. I wake up every morning hoping this is all just a bad dream. For my children, myself and many others this is our reality. Cherish every moment with your children you never know when your goodnight kisses and hugs will be stolen. Until next time………..
