Description

We are searching for the perfect pet home for a 2 year old female collie. Please read this entire post before responding. This dog is an inside dog, but loves being outside as well. She loves to play and go for long walks. She is fully house trained, crate trained (but doesn't need it), leash trained, and loves going for rides in the car. She is not high drive or high energy. She is happy to play with toys, but also likes to curl up right next to you on the couch. She is up to date on all vaccinations through 2024. She is the guardian of the house. She alerts us to any unusual activity, but does not bark incessantly. She had a litter of puppies 4 months ago which took a toll on her body. We are actively working on helping her get her beautiful figure and coat back, however after consulting with our vet and our mentor we feel that it is best for us to find a home for her where she can be the center of attention. She is great with other dogs, but we are looking for her to be an only "child" so she can get the attention she deserves. She has been around our daughter's cats, and seems none reactive to them, but she hasn't had MUCH time with them. She is great with people and children. Toddlers stress her out and she hasn't been around any infants. Small rehoming fee, but this is more about finding the perfect home for this purebred, AKC and SCPS registered beautiful collie. We will be doing extensive screening and taking our time to make sure to find the right fit. If you are looking for a young, loyal dog that loves to please her people maybe this is the one for you. If you think this is you, please send us an email answering the following questions: Who will be the primary caretaker of this dog? Tell me more about this person. How many people live in your home? Ages? Do you have any other pets? Do you own your home? Do you have a fenced yard? If no, how do you plan to exercise the dog? Have you ever rehomed a dog? Have you ever owned a collie? Do you know the proper grooming required for a collie? Are you aware that they shed - ALOT? Does anyone in your home have pet allergies? Where will the dog sleep? How many hours per day will she be left home alone? Do you agree, if things don't work out for ANY reason, to sign a contract stating you will return her to us? We look forward to hearing from you, but will not reply if you don't answer the questions above.
