any gun ranges

I come from an area where the gun range is on a farmers land and you pull into the owners drive way and knock on the door and ask if u can use the range, or call ahead and make sure its okay, you obviously gotta follow the law and be safe and shoot at an actual target, but here it seems like everywhere you have to jump through hoops just to shoot. any one know of any good ranges where the hoops are minimal and the rules arent a mile long. thanks
