Facilities Maintenance Technician Summary Come join the Facilities team at Emerald City Athletics, a fast-paced growing fitness organization searching for a Facilities Maintenance Technician. This person would ultimately be responsible for Maintaining 2 Seattle locations, working directly with and assisting Facilities Director with project management of remodel and new construction of new and acquired locations. Together as a department we would set policy and procedures of future department growth. Knowledge and Abilities • Applicant must possess the skills for troubleshooting, material procurement and repair of facility equipment and fitness equipment. • Experience in building repairs, minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, and tile repair. • Safely and effectively use and maintain a variety of hand and power tools. • Must be able to read parts breakdowns and plans for repair and construction. • Willingness to learn new skills and aptitude to see and correct issues not always reported. Strive for more and pay attention to detail. • Use of computer and ability to assess, describe and communicate effectively verbally and in writing. • Self-motivated and at many times self-governed to take direction from several sources, member, guests, coworkers, and supervisors and effectively prioritize and act to each request effectively and in a timely manner. • Customer service skills a must to effectively communicate with others and respond effectively to others needs. • Availability and reliability for a rotation of emergency on-call duties. Physical Requirements • Must be able to push, pull, stoop, Kneel, climb, and lift to 50lbs. • Use of a frame and extension ladders and lifts. • Equipment moving occasionally with additional personnel assistance and use of moving equipment, furniture carts, pallet jacks and hand carts. • Occasional outdoor work required. Qualifications • Minimum 1 year Facilities Maintenance experience. • Additional construction, fitness equipment repair, or pool, spa experience a plus. • High school graduate or GED • Valid Drivers license and clean driving record and reliable transportation. • Must possess own hand tools Compensation • 18.50-24.00 and hour depending on experience • Health, dental and vision insurance offered • Paid vacation after 1 year • Sick time as accrued • Free gym membership
