We are looking for a steady worker for an entry level position at a full-service automotive machine shop. The position will have you professionally disassembling engines and properly processing them so as to be machined and reassembled. The process includes checking and maintaining the chemicals and machines required to clean various engine parts. Duties include properly disassembling engines, handling parts with care and attention to detail, properly cleaning parts with various chemicals, maintaining an orderly parts area for customer parts, maintaining clean and orderly work environments, assisting machinists and engine assemblers with various tasks around the shop, and maintaining a level of efficiency and professionalism through the entire process of receiving and completing customer work. Prospective applicants must be physically able to lift up to 75 pounds. Must also be able to comply with safety protocols regarding heavy machinery and chemicals, also be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. The position does not require any previous machining experience. Any experience with handling tools is a plus. Movement within the company is available given enough time and growth.
