Join our stone production team and help create stone products that will be used on homes and commercial projects throughout KC and beyond. Stone Production Associate Reports to: Production Manager, Yard & Maintenance Manager Work Environment: Outdoor construction environment Physical Demands: Standing, Bending, Frequent Lifting Position: Full Time: Monday – Friday (8am – 4:30pm) Weekends OFF Essential Functions: • Coordination with Production Manager on daily assignments and objectives • Performing maintenance, cleaning, and production tasks as directed by Production Manager • Use of a sledge hammer, brick hammer, and stone hammer to break and shape stone as needed • Use of safety gear including hard-toe boots, eyewear, ear protection, masks/respirators, gloves, and a back brace when appropriate • The ability to frequently lift and push stone weighing 30-100 lbs • Ability to bend and palletize stone as needed • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment • Assist yard staff with customer service as direction during peak business • Heavy equipment operation including cutting machines, a stone saw, and forklifts • Willingness to learn and incorporate daily maintenance tasks for machines as directed • Keep a clean and tidy work environment for safety and organization • Quality-Control of end product Other Functions: • Consistent analysis of procedures and processes to prevent wasted time and material • Ensuring a safe work environment Required Skills and Dispositions: Safety-Focused, Team-Oriented Physical Requirements: This position involves extensive standing and lifting movements of natural stone material both at waist-level and off of the ground. Pre-placement general physical is required (no u/a). Ability to quickly climb in and out of equipment Is essential. Ability to work outdoors in a construction environment of varying temperatures and humidity levels. Ability to wear protective gear including dust masks, respirators, back braces, eye and ear protection.
