Description

Our annual event will award scholarships to deserving male students who are graduating this year from one of our local high schools. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity was founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C., on January 9, 1914, by three Black collegiate students. The fraternity is based on the principles of brotherhood, scholarship, and service. As a non-profit organization committed to encouraging academic excellence, the Delta Xi Sigma Education Foundation of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is pleased to recognize two (2) graduating male seniors with $1000 scholarships who exhibit scholarly traits and are actively engaged in community service and beyond. Beginning in 2016, we have awarded annual scholarships to deserving students. It is our desire to make a larger impact to the greater Milwaukee community. And, as a result, we host an annual Fathers, Mentors and Scholars luncheon and fundraiser in which all the proceeds will go to the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Delta Xi Sigma Education Fund. For each ticket purchased for this event, $10 will go directly to scholarships.
