On Saturday, June 4th at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Lawrence, Kansas (2120 Harper St, Lawrence, KS 66046), the Northeast Kansas Beekeepers Association (NEKBA) www.NEKBA.org will be hosting the annual Bee Funday event - a full day of beekeeping and pollinator education. NEKBA is a non-profit organization established in 1948 and is run by volunteers dedicated to providing resources for beekeepers and pollinator habitat best practices education for farmers and landowners. There will be local, regional and national speakers covering a wide variety of beekeeping, pollinator habitat and value added product information. Meet the 2022 American Honey Queen, On-site Hive Demonstrations, Swarm Demonstration, Door Prizes, Vendors, Silent Auction, Honey Ice Cream, Mead Making, Cooking with Honey, Beauty Products, Creating Pollinator Habitat, Marketing Information workshops.
