North Water St. This planting class gives you a chance to have fun together while nurturing everyone’s identity as a plant artist! Participants will gain plant knowledge, get their hands dirty, and leave with their own creation, complete with care instructions. Painting with Jenny -*Session Location: 110 W. North Water Street Come relax and paint with Jenny and make and take your own crafty project home. Bring out your creative side and create a décor piece that can be featured at home. Body Scrub Make & Take -*Session Location: 309 W. North Water St. Come create lavish sugar scrubs with Rasasvada to exfoliate our largest organ, the skin, to keep it fresh, healthy and smelling devine. Dive into deep intention with your very own self care creation to show love to your sacred temple...your human body. The healthier we feel, the happier we are. Total Academy Strength Workout for everyone, including Seniors -*Session Location: 211 W. North Water Street Work towards a stronger, healthier body. This is a great way to start strength training. The exercises focus on building total - body strength with an emphasis on improving balance, stability and flexibility. PiYo -*Session Location: 215 Shawano St (Engine Bay) This is low-impact exercising yet provides a full-body workout without straining your body. Enjoy a dynamic, energetic class that combines the strengthening benefits of Pilates with the flexibility enhancing effect of yoga. This class is for you if you're looking for a movement-based way to shape your body muscle by building muscle tone and reducing fat. Building Resiliency with Self-Care - *Session Location: 215 N Shawano (City Hall) Finding the ability to adapt well in the face of adversity when experiencing personal issues, serious health concerns, stress at work, or other challenges is very important. Learn more from Dr. Felix Jolly along with Sonya Jones, OTR/L and Erica Dobberfuhl, LCSW about skills to endure hardships and how self-care can build strengths that protect and promote well -being. Education Facilitators: ThedaCare Make Moisturizer with Natural Ingredients - *Session Location: 511 S Pearl St. (Bella Salon) Learn about skin care at the Beauty Bar and how to make the best moisturizer naturally. This recipe is easy to make and will leave your body feeling nourished and soft. Each attendee will have the opportunity to make their own variation. Attendees will walk to their activities, which will take place from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. If needed, the New London Senior/Disabled transit van will be available for those who qualify.
